Help Fight Breast Cancer – The 8th Annual Score For a Cure Soccer Tournament

breast cancer ribbon with soccer ballLANCO Fieldhouse will be hosting the 8th Annual 2013 Score For Cure Adult Soccer Tournament on Saturday May 18, 2013 and hopefully this will be the best tournament ever!

It will be a great weekend of competition, fun, and also raise money to fight breast cancer.

All games will be held indoor at LANCO Fieldhouse and will be 6v6 format with a minimum of 3 games.

There will be the following divisions:

  • Womens Over-30
  • Womens Open
  • Mens Open
  • Coed Open

In addition to the  tournament, we are also on the same day, holding a Local Celebrity & Family Fun raffle and silent auction.
We have a variety of celebrity items and family fun and recreation items that will be available to win.

The 2013 Annual Keystone State Indoor Games is just around the corner. March 9 and 10 to be exact.  This is always a great indoor soccer event and will once again be hosted in Central PA by Lanco Fieldhouse in East Petersburg, PA. Currently there are still some openings for teams. So if you were thinking of entering a team. There’s still a chance! Here’s a list of how many teams are registered and how many slots are open.

18+ Female 9 teams –  1 more team
30+ Female A Division 3 teams –  2 more teams
30+ Female B Division 10 teams – closed
30+ Male 4 teams –  2 more teams
40+ Female 7 teams –  1 more team

CASA CLASSIC Adult Tournament – Labor Day Weekend

CASA is expanding their Labor Day Tournament to include an Over-30 and Over-40 division.  Please see below for info and registration instructions (registration is now open). The following are answers to previous questions:

1. If you don’t have a team send Eric your contact information if there is enough interest they will put together a tournament team.

2. We are only having an over 30 and over 40 division, woman are welcome to play, but we are not having a “coed” or “female” division. (maybe next year)

3. Most adult games should not conflict with youth games, if you have a child playing or you are a coach let me know and we will do our best to eliminate conflicts.

4. Must be over 30 (or over 40) before September 1, 2012.

Labor Day Weekend, September 1-2, 2012

Highlights:
All Games will have 3 person Referee crew
All Teams Guaranteed at least 3 Games,  Game duration will be two- 30 minute halves, final games will be two- 45 minute halves.

Games will be held at CASA/CAPA Soccer Complex located Ranger/George Park Fields, 6003 Jonestown Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17112

Lancaster Kickers Over 50s Win Gold at the Keystone State Games

The Lancaster Kickers Over 50 men won the gold at the games this past weekend in the PA Keystone Games 7v7 tourney.

Losing the opener 0-3, they then tied 2-2, and won 3 in a row to garner the gold! Goals for=12 Goals Against=6 Congrats!

U10 Boys Team – FREE Soccer Tournament This Weekend in Lancaster/Lititz

A U10 boys team just dropped from the Lititz Shummer Showcase.

As a result, we are offering a FREE spot to a U9 or U10 Boys team for the Lititz Summer Showcase being held in Lititz, PA on 7/30 and 7/31

Schedule will be as follows:

Saturday 7/30 8:00am vs CPYSC Black
Saturday 7/30 11:00am vs Panthers United
Sunday 7/31 Noon vs North Union Cannons 01
Sunday 7/31 3:00pm finals if you advance

If you are interested, go to www.lititzsummershowcase.org and apply on line. At the end of the application where it asks for payment, click you will pay by check.

Lititz Summer ShowcaseThis is a free spot, but we do request a performance bond to make sure the team shows at the tournament. After you complete the application, go back to www.lititzsummershowcase.org and click on “payments” where you can pay the $500 performance bond (entry fee) on line with a credit card. We will have a check that we will give your team at the tournament for the full amount of $500.

We will accept the first team that applied and pays the fee on-line.

This is a 6 v 6 tournament (5 players + keeper) and each team will have a minimum of 4 games and every player will receive a t-shirt (maximum of 12).

Lot’s of divisions:
Women: Over 30/40*/Open – 7am – 3pm
Co-ed: Over 30/Open – 1pm – 7pm
Men: Over 30/40*/Open – 5pm – 10pm

PAID Soccer Referees Needed for Tomorrow’s “Score for the Cure” Event

Lanco Fieldhouse is hosting their  “Score for the Cure” soccer tournament tomorrow – Saturday 5/21/11 -  and they are  in dire need of referees (Referees as paid for their services).
