Local Central PA Team; Lititz Youth Soccer Elite 98 is going to Nationals

Lititz Youth Soccer LogoThe Lititz Youth Soccer Club Elite 98 U15 team has qualified for US Youth Soccer National Championship tournament in Greenville,SC. The President’s Cup is a national championship competition that starts at the state level.  Teams compete in a World Cup format round robin competition to win placement in a “knock-out” round.  Teams advancing to the knock-out rounds play until a champion is determined. Those champions advance to a regional final and eventually to a national final.

This team was crowned champions of the state-wide President’s Cup Competition after defeating FC York Elite by a score of 3-0. Lititz Elite advanced to the Regional Finals to which was held in Slippery Rock, PA.  The team proved successful in Slippery Rock, they will advance to the National Finals to be held in July of this summer.  There are 4 teams that make the finals, with Elite 98 being one.

This trip is posing a financial burden on some families to the point that some players may not be able to make the trip.  The team is requesting financial support to help the entire team make the trip.  If there is any way possible that to provide support to team to enable them to reach the national competition it would mean the world to the coaching staff  and group of fine young men.  The team is looking forward to the opportunity to represent Lancaster County in Greenville, S.C.
